Clara Bentz Obituary
POMEROY — Clara Cordelia Bentz, 101, of Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away on April 5, 2021. She was born on Jan. 29, 1920, in Pomeroy, daughter of the late Roy and Clara Curtis.
Cordelia was a 1937 graduate of Pomeroy High School and attended the New Beginnings Church.
She is survived by three children, Thomas Bentz of Orlando, Florida, Mike (Marie) Bentz of Willshire, Ohio and Brenda (Gary) Barnes of Ashville, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Ginger Bentz of Orlando, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Bentz; sisters, Dorthy Evelyn Sheets and Sarah Rose Dill; children, Thomas Edwin Bentz, William "Bill" Bentz and Marjorie Mullins; granddaughter, Deanna Mullins; great grandson, Eric Case; and great great granddaughter, Evie Pounds.
Cremation services are under the direction of Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
