Doris Martyn Obituary
BIDWELL — Doris A. Martyn, 79, of Bidwell, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 1, 1938 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Samuel and Nora Bush Glover. Doris was a dietary aid at Arbors Nursing Home.
Surviving are her four children: Lynn Stapleton of South Point, Janette (Mike) Beckly of Grove City, Yvette Nibert of Middleport, and Daniel (Karissa) Martyn of Gallipolis; 14 grandchildren, Trina Hoover, Krystal Nibert, Kelly Barnett, Justin Stapleton, Jennifer Beckly, Sara Beckly, Grace Martyn, Daniel Keith Martyn, Brittany Martyn, Tabitha Stover, Zach, Aaron Halley, Allison Halley and Kaley Halley; brothers and sisters, David Glover, Wanda Marchi, John Glover, Linda Newell, Judy Byus, Charles Glover, Brenda Glover, Cathy Rotert, Michael Glover, Christina Glover and Carolyn Angel.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis L. and William Keith Martyn and one daughter, Vanessa G. (Martyn) Halley.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Michael Buchanan officiating. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. prior to the funeral.
