Horace Edwards Obituary
GALLIPOLIS — Horace "Ralph" Edwards, 74 of Gallipolis, passed away at his residence after extended medical complications. He was born on Dec. 28, 1942, in Cheshire, Ohio, to the late Pearl "Penny" and Gertrude Blanche (Bobo) Edwards. He retired as a railroader from Norfolk Southern when he was 62 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Joan Edwards of Gallipolis; children, Joy (John) Freeman, Mason, W.Va., Troy Edwards, Cheshire, Anita (Bryan) Lawrence, Portland, Stacy (Amy) Edwards, Cheshire; grandchildren, Samantha (Jay) Farra, Chris (Tosha) Edwards, Jess Edwards, Jake Edwards, Levi (Brooklyn) Metheney, Chase McElfresh, Heather White and Katie Jo Freeman; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Betty) Edwards, Cheshire; sister, June (Fred) Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pearl "Buddy" Edwards; and sister, Elsie Folmer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Carl Ward officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.

I am so sorry and sad to hear about Ralph. He was always a good friend. I knew Ralph for over 40 years. We had a lot of laughs hanging out at Penny's barn. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.
