Robert Saunders Obituary
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Robert Wayne Saunders, 78, passed this life for Heaven on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. The Ironton native was born August 14, 1939, the son of the late Thomas and Nona Rice Saunders.
Mr. Saunders attended school in Cadmus and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a farmer by trade.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Erma Jane Saunders Miller.
He is survived by one brother, Harvey (Betty) Saunders of Patriot; a beloved nephew, Wade Miller, Jr.; great-nephew, Bryton Miller; great-niece: Torrie Miller; special cousin, Ernie (Ann) Rice, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the McDaniels Crossroads Church with Pastor Mark Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Flagsprings Cemetery with graveside military rites by V.F.W. Post 4464 and visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
