Ruby Marshall

1937 - 2022

POMEROY — Ruby Carol Marshall, of Pomeroy, passed away May 6, 2022. She was born on April 2, 1937 in Beards Fork, W.Va., to the late Troy and Lavada Johnson.

Ruby graduated from East Bank High School. She married the love of her life Charles (Bub) Marshall in 1956 and enjoyed life together until his death in 2001. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Ruby was a resolute member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary of Pomeroy.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sherri Marshall; son, Bryan Marshall; and six siblings.

Ruby is survived by four children; Barry Marshall (Judy) of Racine, Charlie Marshall (Pam) of Etna, Denise Knight (Neale) of Middleport, Randy Marshall (Tammy) of Albany; six grandchildren: Rachel Cornell (Joe) of Racine, Amber Grubb (Tyler) of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Joseph Marshall of Chillicothe, Ashley Bentz (John) of Racine, Troy Marshall (Courtney Dommer) of Reynoldsburg, Kristen Monbeck (Aaron) of Albany; seven great-grandchildren: Izzy and Lexi Cornell; Kaycee Grubb; Gabbie, Mikaiah, Jayleigh Marshall; August Monbeck; three siblings J. C. Johnson (Roberta) of Alexandria, Va., Larry Johnson of Pomeroy and sister Judy Kaercher (Richard) of Elkhart, Ind.. Ruby loved and cared for everyone who crossed her path. She will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial will follow at Cherry Ridge cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from noon-2 p.m. at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
