Your heart I have learned spanned far beyond where most hearts stop. The generosity you poured out to everybody you knew or even people you had just met was amazing. As a child I didn't pay attention to what you did. It's only as an adult that I find out you did so much to help others. I am very proud to be your granddaughter and hope that one day I can only hope to learn as much as you taught. I love you Grandpa Satterwhite. See you someday....;) mwah!! ((HUGS)) OH! and the kids and grandkids are doing ok, but you know that already.....

Dad, you know as well as I do that we all take things for granted many times. I don't know how many times I have wished I would have recorded our visits and documented them when you told me of things that happened when you were younger. For someone to remember as you did is such a wonderful thought that the Lord allowed you keep your mind sharp to the end. The last week was the hardest for me since communication was - basically - extremely minimal because of the stroke. I will forever love and miss you and forever cherish remembering the times we had together.

Daddy, it has been a year this coming Sunday and it seems you should still be here. We miss you. I talk to you quite often. I really see what you had been doing that you loved so much now. Lots of people are learning what you did for them I am sure. I know God has been enjoying you being there to help him. And know you enjoy helping God. We love you so much and we do know you are so healthy now that you could run a footrace and win. I still have so much to go through on the family tree. All that work you did was wonderful and will not fall through the cracks. Somehow I will get it together with mine and it will keep on going. We love you and miss you and look forward to the day we can see you again.

Grandpa, Because of you and Grandma Ruth I have very fond memories that will live as long as God permits. I learned the bedtime prayer from ya'll on our summer stays at your home. "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take." I love you Grandpa. Thank you for driving your RV to see us as often as you could and all the wonderful memories of our childhood with you traveling and at home. Thank you also for making me feel like somebody when you would always call because you hadnt heard from us in awhile. I know God is using you still, but in a much better place called HOME. Rest in peace. Please tell Daddy Hi. mwah!

Thanks Alex for being so nice to me during my childhood growing up in Forgan. I remember the times visiting the store and Joe making coke floats and suicides and other concoctions that Joe would dream up. I don't know how we survived.

Even after you left Forgan and I needed money for my old car to get from Midwest City to home from college you didn't hesitate to loan me the money.

I'm sure Joe misses you but a lot of us can really say we appreciate your kindness and will also miss you.

I am so happy that I got to visit personally with Uncle Alex twice in the year before his death. He had a care, a love, a concern, an attentiveness for me (and I think just about everyone he knew) that extended from my earliest memories of him in childhood till my last visit with him. I always thought of him as being very tall. Only a year ago did I notice that he was shorter than I am -- inch-wise anyway. But his stature of soul and spirit will always be "tall" in my mind. (God only knows how much money I must still owe him for the all the free ice cream I ate at A&E!) Rest in well-deserved peace, Uncle Alex.

I only remember Grandpa Satterwhite when I was young, but I do remember loving to come to his and Grandma Ruths house. I remember making homemade Icecream mmmm it was yummy. Grandpa is in a place now where he has no pain, so I am happy for him. You are missed Grandpa Satterwhite. And, thank you Uncle Joe for letting us know this guest book was here so I could express how I miss him. Love ya

Dad, I do miss you. it was grand having you by my side all those 94 years 211 days. i am happy you are no longer in misery and there is no more physical pain. I only wish, as we all do after losing a loved one, that i would have noted more of our conversations in these last few years. i'm sure there are many folks who don't realize this guest book is available and i will see to it they become aware. I love you and we all miss you.
