Andy Konzak Obituary

Msgt. Andy Frank Konzak, 62, passed away at home on July 1, 2007. Andy was born Aug. 12, 1944 in Clyde, TX to Frank (Daddy Frank) and Mildred Konczak. He graduated from high school in Clyde, then joined the Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. Andy worked for Lear Seigler Inc. for 14 years. From Sept. 1997 to March 2004, he had a BBQ Restaurant named 'Daddy Franks' where he cooked his BBQ and loved his customers who loved him in return. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mildred Konczak; two sisters, Helen Welton and Mildred Banks. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Tina Konzak and son-in-law, Larry Birdsill of El Reno, OK; four stepchildren, Angela VanLeuven, Scott Andrews, Sherry Wilkinson and Laura Andrews; seven grandsons, Andrew, Anthony, Adam, Tyler, Dillon, Brandon and Shay; one brother, Tommy Konczak of Kilgore, TX; three sisters, Jeanne Watson of Abilene, TX, June Boyd of Alpine, TX and Dorothea Tucker of Tyler, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Andy had a great passion for working with veteran's organizations, being a member of VFW Post 95265, OKC and American Legion Post 120 in Wichita Falls, TX. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel.
