Ashley, you are still the smile that outshines the rest; the one everyone is still inspired by and desires to be like. We all miss you so dearly. I still think of you every single day. The wonderful memories we shared from one or two life-times ago...are the best ones. I miss rolling around in the grass together at home...I miss tumbling together and becoming better athletes in our own backyards. Because of you, I was an athlete, and because of you, I continued on for as long as I could. The years don't get easier, but I continue to feel blessed for having the opportunity to know and be close to someone so incredible.

For all those that didnt know you... you were an inspiration for all to go out and be themselves and not be afraid of who they were. Most saw the lines drawn in the "social classes" of high school but you were a friend to all and an enemy to none. I personally thank you for being an inspiration. I know god has something for me and all i had to do was take it before god calls me home. I'm praying for your family and i hope to see you one day in heaven.... Dear Cynthia Melton and kids,
I just heard about Ashley today from a fellow UPS pilot (Darin Eakle;his son is in my third grade class). Bill and I were sooooo sad to hear of your loss, as were my parents. I will keep your entire family in my prayers. I was just looking at some old pictures from Hawaii, and it brought a huge smile to my face and a warm spot in my stomach. I was telling my friend last night how you Cynthia, were the first person I told I was pregnant with William and you made me a taco salad. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, we are still in St. Louis.
