Bradley Floyd Obituary

Dr. Bradley Carl Floyd, DVM. He was our precious first child, delivered to us on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950. Bradley was born to Norma and Glendon Floyd in OKC. Robinson, Little Rock, Ark, Jefferson Jr. High, OKC and graduated from U.S. Grant High School, OKC in 1967. He excelled in his studies and was a member of a top wrestling team in the state under Coach Milliron. Brad attended Oklahoma University two years and then transferred to Oklahoma State University where he received his degree in veterinary medicine in 1977. After working in clinics for four years, Brad opened and ran Westmore Animal Clinic in Moore, OK until July, 2002 after being diagnosed with cancer of the liver on May 30, 2002. Bradley was an active member of the OSU Posse. He was a 'Poke' thru and thru. Brad was an excellent water skier and snow skier. Brad was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Floyd, R.N.; his sister, Rebecca Floyd; and his brother, William Floyd. He is survived by his brother, Barry Floyd, Moore, OK; his father, Glendon Floyd, Moore, OK; his second mother, Aunt June and Uncle Alonzo Killian of Mustang, OK; his dear friend Karen Borum of OKC; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Bradley accepted the Lord as his saviour at the age of fifteen and was baptized at the Rancho Village Baptist Church in 1965 by Reverend Joe 'Hub' Collier. All of his life, Brad was a beautiful, sincere, loving, and caring person. He spent many hours caring for his mother when she was stricken the first time. Bradley, you will always be in the thoughts of your family, friends, and clients. You will always be Daddy's 'Little Prince'. We will see you every day in Doodle and Toonses' eyes. What a glorious reunion there will be when you join your mother, sister, and brother. Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 9, 2002 in the chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home. After helping us through a sad loss with our Irish Setter many years ago, Dr. Floyd personally led us to Jake our Golden Retriever and our family's best friend. He always knew how to take of our "buddies" and was the most gentle and caring vet even working extra hours for us at times. Thank you for everything, Dr. Floyd. You are missed very much and our prayers are with your family.

Dr. Floyd will be greatly missed by anyone and everyone that knew him. He truly was a wonderful person. I've never met a person nor a vet that cared so much about animals. I believe that he was a vet because he truly loved helping animals. I am so sorry for the family's loss. He will always be missed.

Dr. Floyd was my pets vet for several years. He was a wonderful vet. He know how to care for animals and he cared. He took care of my Yorkshire terrior since we got him. All you had to do is call and he would tell you what to do. Once I called and wanted some vitamins for my Peewee and He met was on the porch and brought it to the car. He said he was starting a new job (CarHopping). We will miss him dearly.

I knew Brad for 32 years. We were roommates for a couple of years in Stillwater with his brother Bill, sometimes Barry, or anyone else who needed a floor to crash on. They were great times shared with lots of good "Cowboys". I am sorry he is gone. He was a really good friend. He was kind-hearted and quick to laugh. We had so much fun and got into so much trouble and yet somehow we all graduated, some of us several times. He will be missed.
