BRANDON KING Obituary

August 27, 1971 - March 25, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Brandon Lee King was born August 27th, 1971 , and left this world peacefully and with dignity March 25, 2015 surrounded by his family. A bundle of energy and joy since the day he was born to his parents Patricia and Roy, Brandon is survived by his two sisters, three brothers, grandmother, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and more friends and acquaintances than any one person could ever hope to have in their lifetime. A love of his family, his faith, basketball, and football can easily sum up the things that most commonly filled Brandon's time, but there was so much more to him and what makes his loss so difficult to bear. With an exuberant attitude and an immeasurably boisterous voice that filled any room that he was in, there was never a time that you didn't know what Brandon was thinking or feeling. He was opinionated, genuine, and steadfast in what he believed, and that's why people respected him, trusted him, and loved him to the very depths of his soul. Brandon's passion was work and he was confident that he was good at it and didn't mind telling you how good at it he was. He worked not because he had to, but because hard work was innate to his very being. From sprinkler installer, to being an ice cream man where he gave most of his profits away to children that couldn't afford even a popsicle, to being the best short order cook in Oklahoma, it didn't matter what he did for a living or how much he was paid, he worked for the ultimate satisfaction of knowing that he did a job well done and that he made a difference in someone's life that day. Money and possessions meant absolutely nothing to him; they rarely do to the pure of heart. Brandon would much rather make a memory with you than buy you a gift for your birthday. His reasoning? Memories are forever. He understood the importance of the human connection and that people need to feel valued and loved and he spent every day trying to make sure that he had accomplished that. His absence has left a hole in the lives of many that he touched, a hole that seems as deep as the sea, but Brandon would not want that hole filled with despair, regret, or longing. Brandon would want that indescribable void filled with the same unconditional love, caring and warmth that he spread every day of his life. Rest In Peace Bubba.

Brandon was a customer of mine. He always had a smile on his face and would talk about life with me. He loved his nieces and nephews! He would always talk about how much they meant to him and how much he enjoyed spending time with them. He was a wonderful guy and will be greatly missed. I am sorry for your loss.
