Carol Coffey Obituary

Carol Anne Coffey, 64, died Saturday, September 20 at her daughter and son-inlaw's home in Norman, of small cell lung cancer. Committal will be where her fondest childhood memories were made...at Honeoye Lake in New York. Carol was born March 20, 1939, in Rochester, NY, to Charles and Helen Skuse. She married William Coffey in 1963 and they had 2 children. In 1971 Carol and her family moved to Oklahoma and worked in the personnel business for many years in Oklahoma City and Norman. Ms. Coffey was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Skuse, a younger sister, Kathy Kenien and a younger brother, Michael Skuse. Carol is survived by her son, Sean Coffey and her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Leo Lacher; her grandchildren Adam Lacher, Alison Lacher, and Mary Ellen Lacher. She is also survived by her sisters, Janet Goldenbogen-Self and husband, Cliff, Sheila Bailey...all of Port Townsend, Washington and Jeanne Clement of Rochester, New York and her brother Robert Skuse and wife, Mary Ellen of Dover, Delaware; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends; her companion of the last 12 years...her cat Thor.
