CLYDE ROLLINS

Dec. 17, 1952 - Nov. 13, 2012 YUKON Clyde Eugene Rollins, Jr., 59, of Yukon, OK, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2012, with loved ones at his side, after a brave struggle, from complications following pneumonia. The eldest of six children, he was born on December 17, 1952 in Stillwater, OK, the son of Clyde and Dois (Eakes) Rollins. Following graduation from Putnam City West, Clyde entered the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History. However, his heart was in serving God; so, he attended the Southwest School of Biblical Studies in Austin, TX, graduating in August 1983. A lifelong learner, Clyde continued studies at the University of Central Oklahoma from 1992-1994 where he studied Spanish. Clyde worked for 25 years at Hertz Corporation in the Reservations Division, OKC. A faithful servant of Jesus Christ, as a member of the Church of Christ, Clyde served on missions in India and the Philippines, where he met and married the love of his life, Ruby Lisa Madarang, of the Philippines, in 1998. Clyde was preceded in death by his mother, Dois Eakes Rollins, his father, Clyde E. Rollins, Sr., and a sister, Annetta Gaye Harmon. A loving son, brother, father and husband, Clyde is survived by his equally devoted wife, Ruby Lisa Madarang Rollins, and his sweet daughter, Kayla Grace Rollins, of Yukon, OK; his brother, Thomas Edward Rollins, II; three sisters, Ellen Ginnett Rollins and Crystal Gerree Rollins of OKC, and Ida Gail Gray of Ninnekah, OK; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jusmedin and Josefina Mad-arang of Cotabato, Philippines; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Viewing will be Thursday, 9am to 9pm, with the family present from 5-8pm, at Mercer-Adams, Bethany. Service will be Friday, Nov. 16, 10:00am at Cherokee Hills Church of Christ, OKC, with graveside service at 1:30pm in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.
