DARLA DARROW Obituary

June 25, 1962 - December 8, 2012 MUSTANG Darla Gail Darrow, age 50, was received into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born June 25, 1962 in Oklahoma City to John C. and Mickey (Burton) Darrow. She grew up on the family farm, which was homesteaded by the Darrow family before statehood. She attended Mustang Schools from kindergarten until her graduation in 1980. She lived in Oklahoma City for a while working as a waitress and bartender, before returning to her roots in Mustang. Her wish for us all was to live a meaningful and healthy lifestyle. Darla was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Also by nephews Kenny, Ricky, Timmy, Colton and Matt, nieces Jesse, Tammy and Marin, her aunt Doris Sorrells, her loving friend and partner Bob, along with numerous cousins and friends who loved her dearly. Darla I didn't know you as well as some, but I thought you were a great person, and even when I knew you were going thru some bad times I always felt like if anybody had it together or had what it takes to make anything better it would be you. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to reconnect this past year. I know you will be missed so very much, but I also know that you are up there where you belong with the rest of the angels. Say hello to my brothers, I know they are happy to see you.

Darla... you and I go way back to our tweenie years when Mustang was just a small dot on a large map, and fun was found by hitting the town's Sonic or Dairy Queen. We lost touch for a few years but when we reconnected a couple of years ago, it was as if time had stood still for us and nothing had changed. We were just older and you were still as sweet and fun as ever. You have been a real inspiration to everyone in your path. All who remain behind you could take a lesson from you in how to treat their fellow human beings. You'll be missed and loved every single day. Soar high my friend... You're a shining star now. <3
