I am so sad to learn this news. and extend my condolences to the family. David was a stand-up guy, one of this rare people who comes along, and makes everything better for everyone around him. But that was always true of the whole Newby family. I am sorry I found out about this just now, but my heart goes out to you all.

Dave got me and I guess I got him from adolescence to semi adulthood (neither of us made it all the way, and had no plans to do so). Each of us in our life should have the opportunity to have a friend like Dave, I was lucky. Young, Pauly, Emily, know that your Dad touched a lot of people he was a Good Guy.

I remember that David was one of the nicest guys in our whole high school. He was such a mature, kind and thoughtful person. My condolences to his family... you were lucky to have had him with you, here on earth. May his spirit remain with you, and warm your heart every day.

I have not seen David in so many years, but as teenagers we were together all the time. David and Rick took me to my first rock concert and I could share so many wonderful memories. My deepest condolences to Mr. Newby, Paul, and David's Children and Wife. God Speed!

I recall David to be very smart soft spoken kind fellow and friendly class mate. I always enjoyed his good words he would add to discussion in class because you could tell he thought about what he said and made good intellectual insights and comments. My prayers go to his family and friends.
