David Vernon Plank

David Vernon, 47, of Tecumseh, OK, died Sunday, July 21, 2002. Services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2002, 2:00 p.m., at the Cooper Funeral Chapel with Leslie Long & Amanda Lockwood of the Bethel United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home. David was born June 8, 1955, in Okinawa, Ryukus Islands, to Odas Paul & Billie Gene (Townsend) Plank. He lived most of his life in Oklahoma City and had resided in Tecumseh for eight years. He was a 1974 graduate of Western Heights High School and attended several business courses at South OKC Community College and Moore-Norman Vo-Tech. On May 23, 1981, he married Susan E. Watts, in Yukon, Oklahoma. He worked full time as a bus driver. He also worked parttime at KGFF and KQSR Radio Stations. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed listening to music, as well as working on radio and audio productions. He is survived by his wife, Susan Plank of the home; two sons, Paul & Kevin Plank of the home; his parents, Odas & Billie Plank of Tecumseh; aunt, Ophelia Munson of Checotah; uncle, Jesse Plank of Hinton; great aunt, Pearl Cherry of Oklahoma City; & several cousins.
