When I heard that Dawna had passed away from Melissa McCoy, I felt a great sadness for her family. I remember her out going personality from high school and unfortunately hadn’t seen her since graduation. My thoughts and prayers are with her family now in this trying time.

Although I probably have not seen Dawna since graduation, she was definitely someone you couldn't forget. Her smile and laugh would light up the room regardless what kind of day it was. May God Bless her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Dawna was a very special spirit and so full of life. Although it's been a few years since I had talked to her she will always be in my heart. She will be greatly missed. As a mother, my heart breaks for her mother and girls especially. I can't put into words how sorry I am to hear about your losses. It's been a long time since we rode the bus together, but I still remember your happy spirit! Try to be strong for the girls...they need you now more than ever. I too, lost my son's dad last year, so I can relate to the feelings you are having. Be strong and take one day at a time. Tim,Chyenne,and Brinklee,
I went to the funeral and my whole family couln't stop crying. I didn't want to beleive it and I still don't. I am always thinking of yall and praying for yall. I will miss Dawna. Chyenne is one of my best friends, even though I don't live in Little Axe anymore. I hope we stay in-touch. I will call Chyenne later.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I new Dawna from High School and she was a great friend, she could alway's make me smile. What a beautiful woman she was. My heart goes out to the family and those that were close to her, you are all in my prayers. May God give you comfort.

When I think of Dawna, I think of her great energy and beautiful smile. She was a member of our women's business group for a time last year, and brought with her that great energy. Her daughters were the great joy of her life, you could tell the way she just lit up when she spoke of them. We will miss her. May God bless her family and comfort them all.

My heart goes out to Dawna's family at this most difficult time. Having lost my brother Sgt. Jon Dragus only 6 months ago I know all too well the heartache they are experiencing. I was a cheerleader with Dawna in highschool and although we lost touch I often thought of her and wondered how she was doing. My prayers are with you. God Bless.
