I worked for Dennis in 1963 and 1964 at "Truax field". Our assigments overlapped briefly at NATO AWACS and and again briefly when we both woked for Boeing. We had some interesting times while working in the SAGE (Someone Always Gets Excited)System. I am sorry Denny is gone, he was an interesting and talented guy.

Dennie Campbell was one of the finest of AWACS and I"m sure everything else he was apart of. I knew Dennie well and saying he was one of the best liked and well thought of officers and leaders is an understatement. We'll all miss him and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

Dad, wow- it is so difficult to believe you are gone. It was too short of a journey for our family. You were supposed to see you grandchildren graduate (and maybe your great-grandkids). Well, yes too be truthful, they are ALL great!
When I was to first meet you and Mom, I was a little hesitant to meet Col. Campbell, the strict disciplinarian. But that wasn't you at all. Maybe it was because you never had a daughter, but you were one of the sweetest and gentlest men I had ever met. The love and respect just grew from there.
I am glad that my children had a chance to know you. There were many times I was sad I had not known my father's dad.
I know your spirit will always follow and protect those you loved and cared about, but having that spirit in a physical form made some of life's challenge's easier.
RIP Dad, the tears today are for you, from all those that admired you.
