Donald Meyer Obituary

Donald Joseph, 53, passed away at MWC Regional Hospital on November 14, after a long illness. Donald was born in Connersville, Indiana on July 12, 1948. In 1968, he left high school before his graduation ceremony to join the United States Army. While in the Army, he received his high school diploma. After serving two tours in Vietnam, he left the Army to attend Indiana University, where he received his masters. Upon completion of his collegiate career, he joined the United States Air Force, where be fulfilled a 26 year career. In 1992, he retired from Tinker AFB, leaving the military a highly decorated serviceman, to raise his family in MWC. Surviving him are his wife of 19 years, Myong Cha Meyer, and son, Steven L. Meyer of MWC; Mother, Bettie Hendrickson of Indiana; and two sisters, Angie of Indianapolis, Indiana and Connie of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Meyer. Viewing and services will be held on Sunday, November 18, from 7pm to 9pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th, Del City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., following which will be held a gathering at Love Mission Church, 4001 S. Bryant.
