I´m now 23 years old and a pediatric nurse. I can still remember the way Dr. Berry treated me with kindness and respect when I was his patient all those years ago. I´m grateful for his example and for the fond memories I still have that inspire me in my nursing. Thank you and God bless.

We will never forget Dr. Berry-he was a caring pediatrician towards all 4 of us kids. He inspired my oldest to pursue pediatric healthcare, and she never forgets who inspired that dream. God bless the Berry family.

Dr. Berry has been my family's pediatrician for 6 years. He went above and beyond many times for my family and I am devastated to learn of this loss. He will be missed.

We loved Dr. Berry. He was always so friendly and funny, always joking with my son Jake about how he was so lucky to be tall. He was a wonderful doctor. He had a kind heart and a keen mind. Dr. Berry will be deeply missed. The medical world was blessed to have such a brilliant person in that field. He had the compassion that was needed. He took time and listen to his patients and the parents. Much love goes to his family in this time. Dr. Berry was a wonderful person and physician. My daughter, Mia, had her first of many ear infections when she was three weeks old and managed to have 4 more and strep throat twice before she was 3 months. Dr. Berry not only acted quickly and aggressively to make sure the infection did not spread, but he also took the time to explain everything to me and reassure me that everything would be okay. As a first time mother, I needed someone to guide me and assure me that it was "not my fault" and he did just that. Dr. Berry always had a smile on his face and an overall pleasant demeanor that words cannot fully describe. I wish his time here on earth could have been a little longer for all of the children and people that he touched and am sad that my second child will not have the benefit of knowing him. God must have needed an angel in heaven-and he certainly picked a good one.

Donnie was a wonderfully kind, sensitive, insightful, and intelligent man, always seeking to deepen his understanding of himself, others and life. The world lost a vibrant and dynamic light for good when he passed. He'll be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Donnie was an upper level and attending while I was in residency. He was fantastic to work with. He was a great teacher, always kind. I loved his humor. We worked together a good deal of time, so I feel he really contributed to the way I practice medicine. My prayers are with his family. He was a special person and I am deeply saddened by his passing.

Dr. Berry was a wonderful doctor and person. He was passionate about his patients and patient with their parents - helping both equally. He will be so very, very missed and I pray that his family is comforted in some small way by the love and respect his other families have for him.

Dr. Berry was a wonderful and caring doctor. My daughter loved to visit him. She would ask if she could go see Dr. Berry even if she wasn't sick just to visit. He will be greatly missed.

Words can not express how much Dr.Berry

Donnie was such a neat guy who i had the honor of taking care of. He made such an impact on all of us in such a short time of being diagnosed with cancer. He will be missed greatly.

Words will never be able to express how much Dr. Berry means to my 7 year old son and I. Dr. Berry was my son's pediatrician since he was an infant. He was our friend and most of all the one who comforted us. He took so much time to listen and answer all questions. I remember him telling me the last time we saw him that he was glad we followed him to his new practice. I told him.. " Dr. Berry.. if you practiced medicine out of your garage we would follow you anywhere " He laughed and hugged us both. I will miss him so much and a man of this character will never be replaced. Dr.Berry was such an incredible doctor and a great person. I remember the day I met Dr.Berry-it wasn't in person but over the phone. I was on complete bedrest pregnant with my twin girls. My husbands aunt worked with him at OU and highly rtecommended him to me. He was a twin himself so he had insight to what I could expect in the future. During that first phone call he explained in detail what I could expect the babies to be like if they were born at 28 weeks- is what I was at and at 30 weeks, 32 weeks etc. It definitely calmed my fears. The girls were born healthy at 35 weeks. That was 5 years ago. Since then every appointment and every phone call he was very knowledgeable, kind, patient, never ever rude in an way. I am very saddened that he is gone. It will be very hard to find a doctor to even come close to him. Good Bye Dr. Berry!

Dr. Berry was the pediatrician for both of our children since birth and our kids loved him since day one....and so did we. It was evident that he truely cared for all his patients. During routine visits, countless ear infections, allergy testing, and sore throats, Dr. Berry was always kind, patient, and extremely knowledgable. We are thankful to have known him and are blessed to have had him care for our children. He will be greatly missed.

Dr.Donnie Berry,
I know that you are in heaven now. You were very humble, dedicated, loving,god-fearing and I think you were able to see even God in your patients when you treated them. My children miss you a lot and I know how much they had liked you and comfortable with you. One year, I tried to change my insurance and on that whole day, my wife and children were crying and fighting with me for not changing the insurance because you were not in that insurance. I understood on that day that how much you have influenced them as a doctor and a good brother or a friend or like a father figure. Dr. Donnie Berry, you were great and I am sure that you have a good place in the heaven in the right side of our Jesus, the son of God. You please pray for us, pray to God for keeping our children healthy. We pray for your family and friends and we believe that God will be with all of them and comfort them.

The day Dr. Block introduced us to Dr. Berry, I knew had to be special. I've been taking my kids to him since Dr. Block left his practice. He gained the trust of my eldest quickly and that alone is quite a feat. When the youngest was 2, he taught him how to use the otoscope, since that day he's been set on being just like Dr. Berry when he grows up.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Dr. Berry. His patients and their parents will miss a truly genuine blessing in their lives.

This space is not sufficient for me to say how very much we love and are/were blessed by Dr. Berry. He was often my sanity when we first moved here, as our very active boys came down with mono (while we were still living in an apt. and looking for a house). He was wonderful beyond words, gracious- ALWAYS gracious- and patient. What a precious, irreplaceable doctor he is. So much so that our oldest felt compelled to stick out his tongue when it was necessary to see someone in Dr. Berry's stead. -A simple (albeit cheeky) expression of what we all felt- that it was wrong seeing anyone but Dr. Berry.
We love you, dearly, Dr. Berry and we are grateful for you. You were more than our pediatrician. We called you "friend."

Dr. Berry was the best doctor I ever had.
I wanted to be just like him when I grew up, and I wanted to ask for some tips.
But he's gone now,so I guess i'm gonna have to just pray for him now. My prayers go to his family and friends. By the way, i'm only 10.

Dr. Berry was my son's pediatrician since the day he was born (he is now 6) and I can't imagine a better doctor or a better person. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Berry. The world has lost a great gift and he will be truly missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Bless you all!

I remember Dr. Berry as a resident here at OU Medical Center. I am saddened to hear of his passing for. He was great with the patients and always had a smile on his face.
We talked alot about Pampa and Amarillo(where my mom lives).

Dr. B was one of a kind and a great guy. It was always so nice to visit with him and know that he really did care about my kids and my family. I found Dr. Berry by chance and I now know it was no coincidence. He always addressed my children by their name and genuinely cared about their health and well being. He was a wonderful pediatrician and most of all a very wonderful person with a very loving spirit. Although myself and the kids will miss him dearly, God knows what's best. Myself, Jasmine, Visanio Jr. and Da'Shon will miss you dearly.
