Doriene Malchaski Obituary

Doriene M. Malchaski, 60, of Glenwood City, WI, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009, at her home with her family at her side. She was born on August 8, 1949 in Mondovi, WI to Norman and Betty (Laehn) Olson. Doriene graduated from Trempealeau High School and then married Gerald "Butch" Malchaski on April 3, 1967 in Waukon, IA. She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Butch" Malchaski of Glenwood City, WI; four children: Jean McCoy (Brad Dorwin) of Glenwood City, WI; Gerald, Jr. "Chuck" (Cari) Malchaski of Blanchard, OK; Darold (LeaAnn) Malchaski of Yukon, OK; Josh (Jessica) Malchaski of Blanchard, OK; twelve grandchildren: Jordan, Madison, Garrett, Nathan, Austin, Wyatt, Gannon, Gunner, Meredith, Justin, Logan and Hannah; her mother, Betty Olson of Trempealeau, WI; seven brothers and sisters: Gene (Betty) Olson, Rod (LaVonne) Olson, Geri (Jim) Seago, Steve Olson, Jon Olson, Kevin (Shelly) Olson, Delight (Dave) Vance; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at 1:00 PM, at Kjentvet - Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi, with Fr. David Rybicki officiating. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to the time of the service on September 1, 2009 at the Kjentvet - Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi. Butch and Family:

Doriene was a true friend to my son and I when I worked for Rural Development. She and I became close and shared many great conversations. She opened her heart to me.
