FREDERICK NIEMANN

NiemannOctober 29, 1918 - August 11, 2013 EL RENO Fred passed away peacefully after a year long battle with cancer on August 11, 2013 at his home. He was born October 29, 1918 on the family farm northeast of El Reno to his parents, Frederick John and Anna (Schumacher) Niemann. Fred was a lifetime area resident having attended Sunnyside Rural Elementary School and was a 1938 graduate of El Reno High School. He was a farmer and rancher. Fred also had worked as a pumper for Mack Energy For over 20 years. He was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florine Mae (Bowles) Niemann; grandson, John Frederick Niemann; his sisters, Minnie Niemann, Dorothy Wagoner, and Emma Medkeff; and a brother, Allen W. Niemann. He is survived by his sons, John Niemann of Okarche, Alan Niemann and wife, Gwen of Oklahoma City, and Ronald Powell and wife, Cheryl of Ft. Smith, AR; daughter, Katharine Lagaly and husband, Mark of El Reno; his grandchildren, Anna Niemann, Amanda Pappe, Keshia Duncan, Avery Niemann, Ashton Niemann, Daniel Lagaly, Ross Powell, and Scott Powell; 5 great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Frederick J. `Fred' Niemann, of El Reno, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 15th, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Pastor Lamarla Cook will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. There will be a `come & go' visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday August 14th in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
