HARVEY O'MEALEY Obituary

Harvey Dean and
Patricia Ann O'Mealey

OKLAHOMA CITY
Harvey Dean O'Mealey and Patricia Ann O'Mealey passed away this month within two weeks of each other. As in life, they didn't leave each other's side. Together they owned and ran O'Mealey's Cafeterias from 1945 until they closed in 1982. They went on to have O'Mealey's Pastry Shop until 1994. Anyone who ate at any location has fond memories of how wonderful the food and desserts were! Harvey was a 70 year member of the North OKC Rotary Club and 65 years were perfect attendance. Both Harvey and Pat were ambassadors for Bricktown and Chesapeake Arena and were the first to greet people at the doors at every event. They were passionate about their community and they worked hard to see OKC thrive. Their accomplishments were many and the Irish spirit strong. Green was a favorite color and lust for life endless. Pat and Harvey were one and the same. Everything they did, they did together and they went to heaven holding hands. Their family will miss them, but the O'Mealey spirit will live on. Rest in peace Honey and Sweetie and May the Road Rise to Meet You.

Oh my, how my parents & I enjoyed going to O’Mealey’s! Their food was delicious! Their strawberry cake was the best! I also in later years bought a lot of food to take home. Good cafeterias like theirs are a thing of the past & I miss them! Thank you for great food & great memories!

As I grew up, my family had many many dinners at O"Mealys after church on Sundays. I loved their chicken pies, roast beef, mashed potatos, and many other things. And as I got older, I learned to drink coffee .....theirs is still the best I ever had. Great memories from O'Mealy's. God bless you both.
