Inez E. Claymore, 98, went to be with her Lord & Savior on July 31, 2008. Inez was born March 17, 1910 in McLoud, OK to Otho & Dora Ann Pack. A lifetime resident of the south OKC area, Inez graduated from Capitol Hill H.S. in 1929. On May 11, 1930, Inez married the love of her life, George W. Claymore, and together they shared 52 years of marriage, before George's passing in Aug. of 1982. As newly weds, Inez & George accepted Jesus into their hearts and began worshipping & serving at Central Christian Church, where they were active in church programs & teaching Sunday school. This union of marriage was blessed with 3 children, Georgia, June & Jack and while the children were young, Inez dedicated her time & energy into providing a warm & loving home for her family. Once the children had graduated, Inez began working in retail at Streets Clothing. In 1962, George & Inez bought OK Stamp & Seal and worked alongside one another running the company for many years. After George's passing in 1982, Inez joined Draper Park Christian church and was extremely active and independent, doing such things as traveling to Israel twice, enjoying time with different ladies organizations, member of the Capitol Hill Alumni Assoc., and bowling in the Seniors league to the age of 90. Her bowling team was exceptional and even traveled to the playoffs in CA & NY before she was physically unable to continue. She will always be remembered for her fabulous Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners, excellent noodles & pumpkin pies, chocolate & banana cakes.
