Dr. Duncan was my neurologist. I was a literature teacher at the time, and we had a roads not taken chat one day about his love of books and how he probably would have enjoyed being a teacher, too. He was a kind man, as well as a caring doctor who was known to go out of his way to help his patients

My family sympathies to Dr. Duncan's family, i came upon his obituary while researching my family geneology, My father's name is also James Edward Duncan. He was born in Syracuse New York. You have all of our condolances.

My deepest sympathies to Dr. Duncan's wife and son. I was one of his patients. He worked tirelessly to get my seizures under control and to be sure I didn't even have any auras. He will be hard to replace.

My son is a young adult with disabilities. His seizure disorder was challenging. Dr. Duncan made himself available to my son by supplying his caregivers with his office, home, cell, and pager numbers. He was quick to respond to any request and to offer practical solutions considering my son's diagnosis. I will remember him as a champion for those less able to care for themselves and a talented physician. He will be missed in the Norman community.

My deepest sympathies to Dr. Duncan's family. I worked with Dr. Duncan over the past 4 years developing the Advanced STroke Life Support program at NRHS. His passion drove my passion for stroke education. He was a fabulous mentor, great human being, and a fun guy to be around. I am going to miss you J.D., we all will!

Jim was a friend and classmate, and fellow musician whom I knew from grade school to present. He will be greatly missed and my sincere condolences to Barbara, Peggy, Elizabeth and Nancy, and the rest of the Duncan family.

Dr. Duncan was as kind as anyone I knew. We used to show each other pictures of our dogs and talk politics during my visits to his office. I offer my sympathy to his family and friends. I'll certainly miss him!
