Jerry Obermeyer Obituary

Jerry Dee (Goodman) Obermeyer was born December 25, 1944, to Carl and Felcie Goodman in Oklahoma City. She went to be with our Father in Heaven on May 26, 2010 at the age of 65. She was married for 46 years to Raymond J. Obermeyer, Jr. Jerry or Mema as she was called by her grandchildren loved spending time with her grandbabies. Her other joys in life included playing cards, bingo, writing, taking walks, and going to the casino. Jerry loved her family and had a close and loving relationship with all her siblings. She enjoyed all types of music and liked to sing, but Elvis was always her favorite. She is survived by her husband Ray; two children, Dwayne Obermeyer and wife Nannette; Linda Barnard and husband David; seven grandchildren, Candace and her husband Michael, Ashley, April and husband James, Raymond C, Nikki and husband Darrin, Brian, Josh and wife Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Jachobie, Tayiah and Ryland; one sister, Carol; two brothers, Melvin and Earl. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Betty, Lilly and Linda, one brother, Robert; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray Sr. and Ada; two sons, Robert and Jody. Jerry was the most loving wife, sister, mother and Mema, who loved everyone unconditionally. She is greatly missed and loved. Visitation will begin 9:00 A.M. Sunday, May 30, 2010 and family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 31, 2010 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
