Jessie Hassell Obituary

Jessie Mae Hassell died Jan. 17, 2011 at the age 79. She was born Feb. 4, 1931 in Snowball, AR. She was a homemaker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was survived by her husband of 40 years, Bill, who she married on Sept. 4, 1970. They lived in SW OKC with their dog "Joy" who they always refer as "their baby." She was also survived by her 3 children, Linda Ogle of Crutcho, OK, Jeff Jones of Crutcho, OK, & Creig Jones of Moore, OK; 3 step-children, Willam Hassell of Lewisville, TX, Johnny Hassell of Valley View, TX and Eva Breashear of Winnsboro, TX, as well as her sister, Mary Cook of Spencer, OK and her brother, Clay Alexander of Burneyville, OK. At the time of her death, she had 20 grandchildren, 4 of which preceded her in death and over 22 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church, where she had obtained the love of many new brothers & sisters of God which she was very proud of. Jessie will be missed by all whose lives she had touched during her years on earth and will be welcomed home in Heaven by all those who had left this world before her. Viewing will be at Vondel Smith Mortuary, S. Western Ave. from 4-8 PM Thurs. Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at Southwest Baptist Church. 1300 SW 54th St. Friends may leave condolences at www.vondelsmith mortuary.com

Bill,
We are deeply saddened for your loss of Jessie, but we rejoice with you in her homegoing to the Lord. We know you miss her but stay close to God as you go through the difficult days ahead & know that you are in the prayers of many of us at Southwest Baptist Church.
