For Jimmy & Avenell,

It was many years ago that I became friends with Jimmy Ray at school in the little town of Clarita.

Then a couple of years later while attending the little Atwood school I became friends with you Avenell, just as our parents were friends.

Although we haven't spent much time together, our thoughts were often near you.

May God bless you and give you acceptance, peace and contentment.

Dear Avenell,

You have our condolences. We are sending up prayers for you to be comforted, knowing that Jimmy has crossed over to his heavenly home.

Every time that I think of Jimmy, I laugh at how high he and Daddy used to kid each other over OU & Texas Longhorns. So, don't you know this year when he ran across heaven's portals and saw Daddy (Travis) that he laughed hard! They were funny when they watched football.

We miss you and sorry we didn't get to make the service.

Mrs. Fanning, I worked with Jim at OIG/DHS. He was always a great person, co-worker, and talked about his family and sports all the time! My sympathies to all of you. Debbie Forcum-Anderson.

Dear Jimmy,

I want you to know how much we miss you already. I know that i didnt often tell you, but you were such a special man, uncle, and Friend to me.  Your Wisdom, your strong yet sensitive demeanor, and your dry, yet witty sense of humor.

Your love for Avenelle and Tim was an inspiration, and will never EVER forget the day you all brought Tim home, we were all excited.  The Love you showed for Nana and Momma through the years was clear, though minimal words needed spoken.    Mom has stories about how you and her NEVER argued, which always amazed me.  You were always interested in every detail of Cearra & Cevana's latest happenings,  and wanted to know ALL about it.

How I will miss our "Sooner football" talks about  what couldve or shouldve" been done different,  and our simply candid conversations we always had.

We were not ready to let you go, but I know you were tired, your body needed rest, and God said its time to go Home. Please always remember how much you'll be missed, and please give Nana a BIG hug and kiss from me....

I Love you,
DeLinda

Dear Jimmy,

I want you to know how much we miss you already. I know that i didnt often tell you, but you were such a special man, uncle, and Friend to me. I always admired you in so many ways.  Your Wisdom, your strong yet sensitive demeanor, and your dry, yet witty sense of humor (that was my favorite ) were characteristics that always shined bright.

I  remember watching how you loved Avenelle and Tim, will never EVER forget the day you all brought Tim home.... " I had a new doll named Timmy", and was SO excited, but not half as excited as you all were. I remember how you showed your Love to Nana and Momma through the years, and your example of leadership, strength, and patience while caring for them was shown with a voice loud and clear, though with seldom a word to be spoken.   Mom has told us many stories about how you and her NEVER argued, which always amazed me so much.   I remember how you were always genuinely interested in every detail of Cearra & Cevana's latest happenings,  and wanted to know ALL about it.

Oh, how I'll miss our "Sooner football" talks while analyzing what couldve or shouldve" been done different, our half time phone calls to critique the 1st half plays, and our simply candid conversations, and discussing how much we despised the "announcers" because they were such "OU haters".

Selfishly I admit I wasn't ready to let you go, as wasnt through laughing and joking with you. But I know you were tired, your body needed rest, and God said its time to go Home.

Please always remember how much you'll be missed, and please give Nana a BIG hug and kiss from me....

I Love you,
DeLinda

A Better Place
He’s in a better place right now
Than he’s ever been before;
All pain is gone; he’s now at rest;
Nothing troubles him anymore.
It’s we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief;.
We have to cry, to mourn our loss,
Before we get relief.
We know we’ll reconnect with him
At the end of each life’s road;
We’ll see his cherished face again
When we release our earthly load.

There was a good man who died today. He will be missed more than anyone knows. I will miss him having fun during the ballgames being telecast, Oh how he loved the Sooners! I know his best bud will miss him too, as well as his wife of 51 years. My uncle was a good man, a sweet man and a kind man. Please dear Lord take care of him now as he walks with you. I love you Uncle Jim and I will miss you dearly.
