JOHN CARNEY Obituary

March 20, 1941 - Nov. 4, 2015 PARKLAND, FL John H. Carney died on Nov. 4, in Coconut Creek, FL. He and his wife, JoAn, had retired to Florida in 1996. John was an anesthesiologist in OKC for over 30 years. He loved his work and he was very good at it. John was a busy and talented man, and when he decided he was "into" something - he was ALL IN, whether it was Eagle Scouting, growing orchids, sailing, fishing, woodworking, cooking, traveling, he gave his all. His wife, Kaye, preceded him in death. He leaves behind his wife, JoAn; his dogs, Lily and Bella; his daughters, Chris Carney (Alan); Janet Carney and her children, Tyler, Kaylee (Gary), and Evan; Susie Carney Hix (Jerry) and their children, Lauren and Stafford; Jennifer Wheeler Bakowski (Rob) and their children, Tayler and Lauren; and son, Jeff Wheeler and his son, Logan. John also has many nieces and nephews, including Chuck Dreyling, who was like a son to John. Services will be held in Parkland, FL on Dec. 12.

I was fortunate enough to meet John and Joan when they moved to Florida, and I can honestly say that John was always an extremely kind and generous individual who will be greatly missed.

Thank you John for being more than a friend.

We were fortunate enough to know John as he was our neighbor in Florida for many years. He was a wonderful man and like a grandfather to our children. He will be dearly missed. Adria & Pablo
