Johnny Armstrong8/28/1929-12/05/2008Johnny Armstrong long time resident of Oklahoma City passed from this life on December 5th, 2008. Johnny was born on August 28th, 1929 to Ernest and Pearl Armstrong of Okmulgee, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan of 33 years, two sisters: Peggy Vaughn of Oklahoma City and Katherine Roberson of Little Rock, Arkansas. Survivors include: son Michael Wilson and his wife Jeannie of Moore, OK daughter Marva Hargrove and her husband Blake of Prague, OK and daughter Kelly Fisk and her fiancee Mark Theriot granddaughters Jennifer, Angela, Joannie grandsons Justin L., Justin F., Jeremy, Jack Blake and Dillon 17 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces too numerous to mention. Johnny was active in many aspects of business owning and operating Graphic Arts Photo Lab from 1970-1986, owning and operating J & J Catfish farm in Holdenville. He contributed greatly to the Catfish Farmers of Oklahoma. He is a life long member of the International Assoiciation of Printing House of Craftsmen, Inc. member of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma since early 1993. Johnny was a member of USAF and served in Korea. Johnny was never too busy for family and friends. Whatever your need he would be there to help. He left a long line of friends, some still from childhood days. Johnny was a positive infulence to everyone he met, he will be tremendously missed. Rest easy, he is in God's arms. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 9th at Vondel L. Smith and Son, 13125 N. MacArthur. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in his name to the Korean War Veterans or the American Diabetes Assoc.
