Juanita Wehba Obituary

Juanita R. Wehba, of Oklahoma City, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008. She was born March 17, 1919, in Oilton, OK, to George and Rumzy Rahill. She came to Oklahoma City as an infant where she remained the rest of her life. Juanita married Dale Wehba, Sr. in June 1935, and was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of St. Elijah's Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church where she was very involved in the Ladies Guild organization serving as it's president. She was also a member of Ladies Aid organization. Juanita was a founding member of the Bonne Heure Club, which she was always very proud of and served as it's president on numerous occasions. Juanita's personality was "bigger than life". She loved people and lived life to the fullest. Juanita was often called the "belle of the ball" with her impeccable sense of style and glamorous flair. She was preceded in death by her parents husband three sisters Nadine Barkett, Betty Jean Rahill, Geneva Stevens and brother Floyd "Buddy" Rahill. She is survived by her son Dale Wehba, Jr. and Janet Stone daughter Debbi Wehba and Bill Price grandchildren Brook Wehba and Ramzy Reed sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Benny Homsey sisters-in-law Quinne Coury, Thelma Farha and Juanita and George Brown, all of Oklahoma City brothers-in-law Fred Stevens and Howard Barkett of Wichita, KS as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, June 15, from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 16, at St. Elijah's Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. Those wishing to honor the memory of Juanita may do so by contributing to the Flowers that Do Not Wither Fund at St. Elijah's Orthodox Church, 15000 N. May Ave., Okla. City, OK 73134.
