KEN STONE Obituary

Ken Stone
Jun. 21, 1939 - Oct. 18, 2020

NICHOLS HILLS
Ken Stone awoke in the presence of his Lord October 18, 2020. Ken was born June 21, 1939 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Dick and Kathleen Stone. Ken is survived by his wife Judith, two children Kimberly Hiddleston and her husband David, Spencer Stone and wife Hilarie, sister Kay Stone Buford and five dynamic grandsons, Stone Smith, Wiley Todd, Carter, Fletcher and Quincy Stone.
Ken played baseball while serving in the U.S. Navy and for Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1966.
Should he ever challenge you at arm wrestling you knew you were on his good side and you didn't want to find yourself on the wrong side of the pool table. You always knew where you stood with Ken. If he wanted your attention you might be referred to as Heavy, Pro, Chief, or Hot Rod. After pledging Sigma Nu at Oklahoma State, after a member described how Stone, as a pledge, was to manage a member's clothing closet, he simply said, "I must be in the wrong place" and never returned. He especially appreciated the mechanics of fine automobiles and was probably responsible for causing PTSD in many local mechanics as well as each and every loved one.
Perfecting the game of golf was a goal he never reached but enjoyed the competition. In the process, he was befriended by numerous professionals including Arnold Palmer.
Ken was a Christian. He was passionate about studying and sharing scriptures. He was larger than life in life, and now that he is fully in God, he is NOW larger than death.

Ken stands out in my memory for two things; rock-solid moral character, larger than life personality. The world would be a better place if there were a few more Ken Stones on earth. Ken may be missed, but he cannot be forgotten.

It was a pleasure to work with Ken managing the Tulsa and Oklahoma City district energy projects during the Trigen years. He was a good man, shot straight and did what he said he would do. Rest in peace
