Sept 18, 1950 - July 21, 2014 CHOCTAW God called his servant Kenneth Joe Compton, 63, home on Monday, July 21, 2014, from his home in Nicoma Park, OK after his four and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Compton; and sisters, Kathy and Karen Compton. Visitation will be held at Ford Funeral Service on Friday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Blackburn Cemetery in Blackburn, OK. The family would like to express their thanks to his team of doctors that have cared for him over the years, Dr. Thy Nguyen, Dr. Wesley Williams, Dr. Scott Prater, Dr. Russell Postier, Dr. Sikandar Mesiya, and Dr. Patrick Morgan. The family would also like to express their thanks to Hospice Quality Care for his care in his last few weeks. Kenny was an amazing example of a true Christian, in every sense of the word. He was one of the smartest & kindest people I ever knew, and it is truly Heaven's gain. I loved the way he loved everyone, especially my sister, Rita. We'll see you soon and what a day that will be for rejoicing.
