KITTY HYDE Obituary

October 18, 1933 - January 22, 2017 OKLAHOMA CITY Kitty Hyde was born October 18, 1933 in Wetumka, OK to Jack and Elizabeth Lambeth. She married Billy Ray Hyde on December 15, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jerry and her beloved husband. She is survived by her three children, Beth Bridges of Midwest City, OK, Mark and Shawna Hyde, and Lisie Meadows, all of Oklahoma City; her adopted son, Allen (Butch) Yanik and his wife Paula of Yukon, OK; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren with one on the way. Our mom was the center of our lives. She took care of everything while we were growing up and she lived life to the fullest. We couldn't have asked for a better mom. Her dry wit and sharp tongue were Kitty at her best but the love she held for our family is her legacy and the stories we share and laugh about help ease the hurt over losing her. She was an incredible woman who was loved deeply.Mom developed Dementia/Alzheimer's at the age of 78 and from that point for the next five years fought a long struggle. We had a lot of help from many very special people who assisted with her care. We would like to thank a very special friend who has become part of our family, Janie Hull, as well as the caring people at Comfort Keepers, Sooner Hospice, and especially Sheli and Tuscany Village Nursing Center for their kind hearts and for loving Mom like we did. All of you made this journey much easier and we couldn't begin to tell you how much we appreciate all that you did.Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and with help of the Alzheimer's Organization, hopefully one day there will be a breakthrough to slow down or eradicate it. Please feel free to donate to this wonderful organization at www.alz.org.No services are planned. To share condolences, visit www.mercer-adams.com www.mercer-adams.com

We are so sorry for your loss. As TPA members, we knew Kitty and Bill through conventions. Kitty was always so vibrant and feisty and fun to be with. Everyone loved her. Yes, this disease is truly a horrible experience as I am discovering with my own mother, diagnosed 2 years ago. You are in our prayers.
Love and sympathy,

We knew Kitty and Bill through TPA and we loved her. When Reginald was national president, we visited your state and they were perfect hosts. We have never forgotten the wonderful time we had with them. When our daughter-in-law was so sick, she called several times to check on her. We have lost a loving lady. Maidred and Reginald from North Carolina.
