Lawrence Suchy Obituary

Funeral services for Lawrence Eugene Suchy, 74, of Lubbock, TX, will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2007, in Englunds Chapel with Clark Self, Jr. officiating. A private family interment with military honors will follow in Slaton's Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton, TX. Mr. Suchy passed from this life, Sunday, November 25, 2007. He was born August 24, 1933 in Lexington, OK. He moved to Lubbock in 1974 from Norman. Lawrence married Sharon Self Carter on January 28, 1977 in Lubbock. Lawrence was a district sales manager for 34 years for Glidden Paints in Midwest City, OK and Lubbock. He retired from Glidden in 1981 and became a self employed paint contractor until 2002. He was a member of the Lions Club in Oklahoma City and Elks Club in Lubbock. Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Lubbock TX; sons, Larry Suchy and wife Melissa and Bryan Suchy and wife Kelly, all of Oklahoma City, OK, Matthew Carter and wife, Natalie of Boosier City, LA; daughters, Linda Mathieson and husband David of Edmond, OK, and Dianna Goodart and husband Mike of Alamosa, CO; brother, Ronald Suchy of Norman, OK; sister, Jenell Williams and husband Jay of Conroe, TX, 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and a special fishing buddy, Doyle Muncrief. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Rodolfo Martinez and his staff, along with Carillon VistaCare Center and the family, friends and neighbors for their concern, help and prayers.
