Lewis Davis Obituary

Lewis Vernon Davis died peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2004. He was born in Blackgum, Oklahoma to Estel and Opal Davis. He leaves behind his wife, Lacy; one son, Lew Davis, one daughter, Wava Brians and son in law Warren, all of Edmond, Oklahoma. Four grandchildren, L.V. Davis of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jennifer Watkins of Claremore, Oklahoma, Tiffany Moore of Edmond, Oklahoma and Adriene Calvert of Columbia, Missouri; two step grandchildren, Keith Brians of Tulsa, OK and Kayce Brians of Coweta, OK; five great grandchildren, Cameron, Ty and Tory, of Edmond, OK and Zane and Andy of Claremore, OK. He is also survived by three brothers, Harold Davis of Wichita, KS, Tommy Davis of Blackgum, OK, and Jimmy Davis, of Blackgum, OK; two sisters, Mona Ritter of Vian, OK, and Glenda Summerlin of Bixby, OK. Vernon had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Vernon lived most of his life in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. He was a tool and die maker for most of his life. In 1950 Vernon married the love of his life, Lucy Holt. Of all the things that brought joy to Vernon, his family of Lucy, Lew and Wava always were of the utmost importance to him. In 1996 Vernon and Lucy moved to Oklahoma City to help Lew and Wava start Nu-Sound Hearing Aid Laboratory. The name Wava & NuSound are now synonymous throughout the state. Services to celebrate his life will be held Friday, December 3, 2004 at 2:00pm at the Church of Christ Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Agent Funeral Home, 102 E. Chickasaw, Sallisaw, OK 74955.
