Louis Dean Thompson

Louis Dean Thompson was born October 7, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late I.T. and Gerturde Thompson. He attended school in Oklahoma City, OK and served a brief tour in the armed forces. Louis met and married Ms. Esther L. Coates and to this union 5 children were born. Louis was a traveling songster with the Lionel Hampton band. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers and a great grandson. He leaves to cherish his memories, his former wife Esther Carter, Oklahoma City, OK, 2 sons, Marvin L. Thompson (HyCinitha), of Oklahoma City, OK, Anthony H. Thompson (Betty), of Des Moines, IA, 3 daughters Sylvia V. Gunter, Paletha R. Knox, Oklahoma City, OK, and Sheila B. White (Robert), Mesquite, TX, 1 brother Roy Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK . He had 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services are Tuesday, March 9, 2004, 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Sinai COGIC, 2214 N. Bryant.
