Marcus Eaves Obituary

Marcus C., 45, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002 following a lengthy illness. He was born October 20, 1956, in Oklahoma City to Charles and Lawana (Welcher) Eaves. He graduated from Grant High School in 1974. He attended OU and Central State University, where he majored in business. He married Lorrie Phipps December 19, 1992 in Las Vegas, NV and the couple established their home in OKC. Marcus worked in the family business, Quality Meat Co. in OKC. He was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid OU fan. He also enjoyed fishing and skiing and other sports activities. Surviving relatives include his wife, Lorrie, of OKC; his mother, Lawana Eaves and Cleo Price; six nieces; one nephew; four great nephews; and many, many friends and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rocky. The family would appreciate contributions made in his honor to the Oklahoma Chapter National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2915 N. Classen Blvd., OKC, OK 73106. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 4, 2002 in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Marcus was one of the friendliest, nicest guys I've ever known. He never knew a stranger even in school. This is a great loss. My prayers are with his wife & mother.
