Steven P. "Steve" Webb

Steve Webb February 12, 1946 – February 23, 2026. Newcastle, Oklahoma. Steve was the third child born to William Calvin Webb and Bonnie D. Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank (Sonny) and Michael (Mickey); sister, Karen; and two grandchildren, Casey Jones and Timothy Wood.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years. He is lovingly remembered by his 5 children and their spouses, Byrne (Roberta) Webb, Keith (Laura) Webb, Laura (Russ) Wood, Jennifer (Joe Don) Robertson, Jamie (Matthew) Miller; 11 grandchildren, Chase, Cole, Ashley, Denise, Danielle, Dustin, Lauren, Jackson, Jacob, Baylee and Rylee; and great-grandchildren, Emilia Carson, Beckett, Brooks, and Avery as Poppa Steve. Steve was a graduate of U.S. Grant High School in 1964. After high school, he was a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He was employed by Western Electric, which later changed to ATT, and lastly to Lucent Technology for more than 35 years. One of Steve's greatest passions was running and his love of God and family. He ran many 5 and 10ks, and marathons in his lifetime, including a 50k on his 50th birthday. Towards the end of his running days, he could often be seen running and walking up and down Main Street of Newcastle. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newcastle. In his later years, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled his heart with joy attending their activities and events.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Barnes Friederich & Pope Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at First Baptist Church Newcastle, in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Burial will be at 4:00 PM at Arlington Memory Gardens in Spencer, Oklahoma.
