Susan Lett

Susan "Suzy" Lett, a dedicated wife, mother and dear friend to many, passed away on February 10, 2026.

Susan was born on January 14, 1953, in Oklahoma City, where she spent her entire life in the South Oklahoma City community, she proudly called home. She attended U.S. Grant High School and later graduated from Oklahoma City Community College. Over the years, she worked in retail, hospitality and insurance sales. She was an entrepreneur at heart and often balanced multiple ventures at the same time with determination and drive.

Susan was married to the love of her life, James "Jim" Louis Lett Jr., for 49 years until his passing in 2023. Together they built a life centered on family. Of all her accomplishments, Susan always said her greatest was her children, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally.

Susan had a lifelong passion for animals and music. Rarely without a beloved cat or dog - many named after songs or musicians - she also opened her home as a foster for animals in need. A devoted fan of classic rock and Motown, she proudly supported her husband's Beatles tribute bands and loved sharing her knowledge of rock history.

To her friends, Susan was known as being loyal, caring and always willing to listen. She formed lasting friendships and valued them deeply.

She is survived by her daughters, Lacey Lett-Miller and her husband, Josh Miller, and Amara Lett and her partner, Matthew Colbert, and her honorary son, David Mays. She was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Lett; her husband, James Lett Jr.; her mother, Barbara Fuller; her father, Richard Mackey; and her grandmother, Faye Fuller.

A service celebrating Susan's life will be held Thursday, February 19 at 2 p.m. at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK 73160. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or memorial donations made to the Oklahoma Humane Society in her honor.
