Joelanda Sue Powell passed away February 13,2026. She was born August 24,1955 to Homer and Leanor Sumpter. Jo grew up in Reydon, Oklahoma where she developed her love for animals, especially horses.

Jo grew up barrel racing and loved the rodeo. Jo also loved traveling, especially to the beach, she enjoyed spending time at the lake, going to concerts, and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and loved nothing more than being a Nana.

Jo liked spending time tending to her flowers, especially her rose bushes. Jo had an infectious personality, loved to be the life of any party, and had a unique passion for life and lived just like the Elvis song "I did it my way." Jo spent her life working as a bookkeeper which eventually landed her in Choctaw, Oklahoma where she met Wayne in 1998, and they spent over 27 years together watching their families grow up and expand while raising their fur babies.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Leanor, sisters Virginia and Victoria, daughter Tiffany, step-daughter Chandra, husband Scotty, and granddaughter Ashtynne.

Jo is survived by her daughter Tammy, her love Wayne, Wayne's daughter Kim and husband Cam, her grandchildren Bailey, Daylan, Lea, Isaiah, Junior, Genesis, and Cade, great-grandchildren Kobe, Zakai, and Nylah, sister Lydia and husband Gary, sister Alice, brother Gary, brother Frank and wife Ida, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
