Dana Webb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Midwest City on Feb. 23, 2026.
Dana Kae Webb, 60, of Norman passed peacefully at her home on February 23, 2026 received into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ while surrounded by her loving family.

Dana was born on May 19, 1965, in Muskogee Oklahoma to Ronald and Donna (Hayden) Hales. Dana grew up in Warner, Oklahoma and graduated from Warner High School in 1983, where she was involved in many activities, including 4-H, Student Council, Cheerleading, Livestock judging, showing cattle, and State Vice-President of Future Homemakers of America.

Dana graduated from Connors State College in December of 1984, with an Associates Degree and in May of 1987 earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from Central State University (University of Central Oklahoma).

She started her career in insurance with Prudential and Nationwide Insurance, before transitioning into a thirty-one year career with the State of Oklahoma. Dana began her career as a principal assistant directing policy and legislative services for the Employees Benefits Council and then moving to direct policy and legislative services for the Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board. At the Board, she held various positions, but consistently lead oversight of policy and legislative services, spending most of her career, working with the Oklahoma Legislature. In 2011 Dana was asked to move to the State Capitol and handle policy and legislative a airs for the newly created, O ce of Management and Enterprise Services, (OMES). Within her time there, she was Administrator of Human Capital Management, Chief of Sta and ended her career at OMES as Deputy Director. Following her career at OMES, Dana took the position as Chief Administrator of Health Services for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Dana had no idea that would be her calling and for the last three years, she felt as if she was changing lives every day. Not only the lives of her employees by empowering them to do their jobs, but pouring into the lives of the inmates, who she always felt deserved a second chance.

Nothing was more important or fulfilling to Dana than the role of Wife, Mother, and Nana. Spending time with her family was her most enjoyable moments and happy times. Nothing compared to spending time with her grand babies, who were the light of her life. Dana loved being Nana, and when it came to being a good Nana, she was second to none.

Dana is survived by her husband of 41 years, Duane Webb, son Jess Webb and wife Brittany, daughter Hilary Watkins and husband Garrett. Dana was the most precious Nana to her four grandchildren: Henley Watkins, Maizyn Webb, Jensen Webb, and Hattie Watkins. She is also survived by one brother Bryan Hales, niece Kristi Wo ord and husband R.J., nephew Ronnie Milligan, special friend Cindy Stidham, sister-in-law Kathy Tapp and husband Robert, niece Lauren Diskin and husband Anthony, and nephew Jarod Tapp. She is also survived by many special cousins and many other close family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Ronald and Donna Hales, sister Ronna Hales-Milligan, paternal grandparents Jess and Polly Hales, maternal grandparents Orville and Nola Hayden.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Choctaw Road Baptist Church. Following the service, a private grave side gathering will be held at 2:30 PM at Warner Memorial Cemetery in Warner, Oklahoma.
