Bobby Webb Sr.

Bobby Thurston Webb, Sr., 89, passed away February 13, 2026. Bobby was born April 30, 1936 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina to the late Thurston and Selma Phillips. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, Brenda J. Webb and his son, Bobby Webb, Jr.

Bobby worked for Dagenheart Sprinkler Company in Norfolk, VA where he ended up retiring in 2002 as a field supervisor. He enlisted in the Army Special Forces 511th Airborne Division on May 31, 1954 earning the rank of Private First Class and was honorably discharged on May 10, 1957. Some of his favorite things to do were to go coon hunting, growing a beautiful garden, going to horse races, and even racing cars himself, along side his son and his wife Brenda supporting them from the stands. Bobby and Bobby, Jr. won many championships at Southampton Speedway and the last of those being at Dixieland Speedway in North Carolina.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving friend, Catherine Leary; cousin, Elane Woods (Rickey); grandson, Kevin Webb; great grandson, Warren Webb; and great granddaughter, Randi Webb.

A service to celebrate bobby's life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2 PM at Agape Ministries, 4227 Bainbridge Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23324.
