Charles Webb Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles (Charlie) Franklin Webb, who left this world on February 20, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on April 2, 1952, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Willian Dewey Webb and Pauline Webb (Moody), Charlie lived a life defined by love, resilience, and devotion to his family.

He moved to Florida as young child and then moved to Ocala in the late 1970s, where he began a long and dedicated career with Certified Grocers—later Associated Grocers—remaining with the company until his retirement.

In 1989, Charlie married the love of his life, Patrica Webb. Charlie and Patricia had many adventures together during their 36 years of marriage rooted in partnership, loyalty, and deep friendship. Together they had a blended family with his daughters, Angela (Deen) Aderholt, Carolyn (Gerardo) Arroyo, and Michelle Belkin, and his stepsons, Todd Whitney and Chad Whitney. Charlie took immense pride in his family, and nothing brought him more joy than being “Papa Webb” to Aaron and Grant Aderholt, Skyler Whitney, and Olivia and Rebecca Belkin. He truly came alive when spending time with them — and making the best pancakes in the world. Charlie is survived by his sister, Linda (Sonny) Krathwohl; his niece, Laura Elliott; and his grand nieces Grace and Amanda Elliott and grand nephew Daniel Elliott.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents William Dewey and Pauline Webb; his brother, Ronald Webb; and his nephew, Mike Peters.

Charlie loved gathering with all the family for the holidays at the house laughing, eating and enjoying each other’s company. He also treasured time with extended family and long-time friends, valuing the deep connections and shared memories that enriched his life. He was also known as the TOOLMAN, any tool anyone ever needed to borrow, they knew where to go.

He had a deep love for the water. Whether it was in his younger years driving and competing in Speed Boat races (Patty Lynn Racing) or enjoying a Jet Ski ride on the lake on Lake Weir, Florida, he felt most at peace on the boat and simply being near the water. He enjoyed watching NHRA drag races and ESPECIALLY his FLORIDA GATORS. His enthusiasm, quick wit, attention to detail, and love for his family made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

The family will be receiving friends and family at a memorial to honor Charlie will be Monday, March 2, from 11:00 to 12:00, at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Services, 1008 Bichara Blvd., The Villages, FL. If you are able please wear orange or blue or Gator attire in his remembrance
