I have remembered your mother throughout my life since she taught me those many years ago at Soldier Creek. I attended her class in the mid to late 60s. To her, every child had a gift to encourage. I just adored her and hope that I live my life as well as she did hers. God be with you. Maureen Carl Schakett

Mrs. Hattendorf not only was my elementary music teacher at Soldier Creek, but also for many years I rode home from school with her weekly to take piano lessons. She was a very special lady. Her son-in-law, Harold, was also our pastor at Midwest Blvd Christian Church. What a long and great life your mother had. God Bless you. Nancy Munson Roy

I have very fond memories of being in Mrs. Hattendorf's music class and sixth grade choir while attending Soldier Creek Elementary School in Midwest City during the 1960's and early 1970's. I still remember songs that I learned from her. She taught us songs from "The Sound of Music", spirituals, songs from different periods in history, and from various cultures. When we exited her class, she played the song, "All night, all day, angels watching over me, my Lord, all night, all day, angels watching over me." Your mother was a very gifted and wonderful teacher.

I took piano lessons from Mrs. Hattendorf when I was a young girl. She had so much patience for someone who would never master even the easiest music. I did appreciate her kindess.
