Mavis Ray Saunders

Mavis Ray Saunders, 79, passed from here into Heaven, March 21, 2007. Life began May 22, 1927 in Grady County, Oklahoma and ended, peacefully, in the comfort of her home, listening to the spring breeze and birds singing. Those who remain and will miss her dearly include her children, Sharon Riley, Dina and Ron Shellhammer, Carolyn Norman and Robert and Diana Dykes, and siblings, Ella Mae Hart, Lane and Zane Williams; 9 treasured grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. Mavis was preceded in death by parents, Tom and Stella Williams, husband, William Saunders and beloved son-in-law, Jake Riley. Mavis enjoyed time with her family, walking and participating in functions with fellow Kerr McGee retirees and POWs. Services are 1:00 p.m., Sat, March 24, 2007 at Guardian West Chapel.
