MAVIS STORM Obituary

Aug 21, 1927 - Jan 16, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Mavis Bird Storm was born August 21, 1927, in Leicester, England, and passed away January 16, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Cliff Storm; and her daughter, Diana Odom. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wilson; and son, Michael Storm and wife Antonia. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Heather Wilson Sammis and husband Brett, and their children, Annika and Pierce; granddaughter, Emily Davis and husband William III, and their children, Trenton and Gabriel; grandsons, Ryan and Andrew Storm; and granddaughters, Chloe and Katherine Storm. She is much loved by her large English family, especially her brother, Dennis Bird and wife Betty; and brother, Brian Bird and wife Barbara. Mavis loved her church, singing in the choir and shopping for a good bargain. She also enjoyed the company of her dear friends, Gordon and Betsy Hinz and Helen and Pierce Hewlett, who preceded her in death. Services will be held Monday, January 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery. Viewing will be at Mercer Adams Funeral Service on Sunday, January 20, 2013, between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Mavis' name to the Alzheimer's Association or Good Shepherd Hospice of Oklahoma City.
