It's with a heavy heart that I learn of Mike's passing today..I've been thinking about him for the last 2 months, and my bad, just Googled him up today. I spent a lot of time with Mike from 1979 to 1987, when I moved to California after the OK oil implosion...I continued to see Mike from time to time through the mid 1990's when I finally started a family. Mike and I traveled a lot together, both on his converted Continental bus with the giant oilfield mural on each side emblazoned with It seemed like the thing to do at the time under the mural, and to Ft.Lauderdale to get in his go-fast boat on the bay. No one could ask for a more dependable friend and good human being than he. So long, Mike, see you on the other side..

I was Mike's Commission attorney for the past several years. We always laughed because most things he had me do were never easy, but we got them done. He was a favorite client that I always enjoyed. I will miss him greatly, as I know his family and friends will.

Normally always saw him in town once a week. We exchanged typical oilfield news or just how's things were going. The past week was no difference.
Rest in Peace Mike.
With sympathy to all the family,

My Sincere Sympathy to the Family; he was a Man among Men; loved life and gave it his all! I have known him; since, high school at Marshall and I was to the west on Hwy 51 at Hennessey. The Oil Patch is friends forever. He and Mike Culpepper would go to the open field, west of my house in Quail Creek in early 80's and see who could Crash the others remote airplanes, FIRST! I have witnessed; him taking off his coat and giving it to a hand out in the oilfield and said, There is another one; where, this one came from. Heart of Gold and Black Gold was His Life, only, after his family.

Mike was a very nice gentleman. He cared very much for his employee family and their well being. The Messer-Bowers family sends their prayers to the Bostick family for the loss of a great man.
