Nancy McCune Obituary

Nancy Raymond, 74, died July 29, 2005 due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. Nancy was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 5,1930. She attended William Woods College and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1951. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband John R. McCune V, her brother-in-law Robert Fountain, and sister-in-law Mary McCune Edwards. Nancy is survived by her five children: Sarah McCune Losinger and her husband Alan, John R. McCune VI and his wife Barbara, Molly McCune Cathey and her husband John, Laurie McCune Lewis, Carrie McCune Katigan and her husband Steve. Nancy is also survived by her sister Shirley Raymond Fountain, of Kansas City. Nancy's surviving grandchildren include: Emily Losinger Beach, John Losinger, Michelle McCune, Melanie McCune, Tori McCune, Jenny McCune, Asher Cathey, Aaron Cathey, Corey Cathey, Mary Cathey, Connor Cathey, Peter Cathey, Charlie Cathey, Drew Katigan, Austin Katigan, Mac Katigan, Sam Katigan and Gray Katigan. Nancy is also survived by her nieces Amy Fryfi. and her husband Bob, Julie Fountain, her nephew Mark Fountain and his wife Betsy, three grand nephews and two grand nieces. During her life, Nancy was past president of the Tri-Delta Alumnae Association of Oklahoma City, active in Legislative Wives, P.E.O., Bridge Club, Book Club and Early American Glass Club. She was an active community volunteer, a wonderful wife and loving mother . There will be a funeral service at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2005. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for the Aging Research Program.
