NICHOLAS HOLLAND

June 29, 1991 - July 23, 2012 COLUMBIA, MO Nicholas was born on June 29, 1991 in Eugene, Oregon to Michael and Deborah (Crosley) Holland. He and his family relocated to Columbia, MO in 1996. After graduation from Rock Bridge High in 2009, he attended Moberly Area Community College, and The University of Missouri. His interests were broad - from biofuel to brewing, but he wanted to become a writer. Nicholas was a voracious reader and loved to learn; his bed was a bedbrary, with books within and beside it. His curiosity and passion for learning continued throughout his short life. He had a wry wit and a keen sense of humor, and the ability to appreciate life fully - the beauty of nature, a well-written book, and time spent with friends. Nick was the center of his parent's universe and their sorrow over his death and love for him is eternal. Nicholas is survived by his parents, Michael E. and Deborah Holland; paternal grandfather, Michael R. Holland; maternal grandparents, Harold and Aileen Crosley; uncle, Harold W. Crosley, Jr.; aunt, Jeannie Crosley Fox and husband Ray Fox; cousins, Ray Andrew and Laura Fox. A memorial service will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park in the Chapel on August 10, 2012, at 10:00 a.m.
