Aug. 5, 1921 - March 4, 2016 MIDWEST CITY Opal Ethelee Acton, 94, of Midwest City, died March 4, 2016. Born August 5, 1921, to Maud and Will Jones, in the community of Lone Oak, Oklahoma. She was a long time member of Wickline Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ralph, Henry, Ray, and Hubert "Skeet"; and two sisters, Lois and Irene. She was the widow of John T. Acton. Opal is survived by two sons, John and Tom; two daughters, Jan and Elaine; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. Opal was retired from Western Electric-AT&T and had worked in the coin telephone department. She was blessed and enjoyed visiting with her many good friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members. Her church membership with the Wickline Methodist Church and her fellowship there had a very special meaning to her, for which she was very thankful. Her keep and comfort is now with the Lord forevermore. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. March 9, 2016, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City Wednesday with interment following at the Arlington Memory Gardens.
